How To Make Money Using Periscope & Meerkat

show me money

The mobile live streaming race is heating up between Meerkat and Periscope. And with more people getting better at using both mobile apps, it’s only natural that the question, “How can I make money doing these streams?” arise. This post and my recent recorded Periscope broadcast embedded in this post will answer that question.

But wait! If you’re still trying to figure out what all the live streaming hype is about read my post, Mobile Live Streaming For Business. It will give you a good introduction to three apps Periscope, Meerkat, and Hang With, and also how they are being used by people in various industries.

If you’ve been using the app a little while consistenly and possibly have a name for your scopes or broadcast,  Sheer Social is here to tell you there’s plenty of money making potential.  And the good news is, you don’t need a huge following to be successful at monetizing your efforts.  However, metrics should not be ignored.

In fact, if your audience is still growing on one platform, you may want to present the size of your audience as an aggregate of all your social profiles.  In other words don’t just single out your audience on Periscope or Meerkat, add in your audience on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.  Potentially, your broadcasts could be seen by them too.

Just watch the video below and hear at least four ways you can make money with mobile live streaming app.

Hi! When contacting a organization ect. what is best to say to them. More importantly what is the service worth, do I ask them right from the start how much I want or is there a good percentage

brandicel Hi! Thanks for asking.  When approaching a company remember you are there to serve them.  Yes, you’re getting something out of it too, but don’t lead with that.  First share with them what you can do for them.  Share why YOU are the ideal person to do it for them.  Share what you know about the company and how it’s a great fit with what you are already doing.  You got to GIVE to get!  So remember, going in to pitch your live stream broadcast or service, make it about them, not necessarily you.  If they see VALUE in what you have to offer, then discuss and negotiate your percentage.  Thanks for commenting. Hope this helps 🙂
